I've been trying to find ways on how I could develop the habit of blogging - then I stumbled on blogger.com's post about suggestions on forcing yourself to blog and I thought posting a unique photo a day sounds feasible and fun! I've always been a fan of photography and I thought I could give lifestyle photography a shot.
Of course, it would be much more fun if I'd have a digital SLR to play with, haha! I'm just going to use my Samsung digi cam to capture the essence of my day or maybe take a pic of something I am happy about. It would be a huge feat if I could develop this trait (and the patience that goes along with it) so I could look back one day and see that life isn't all that bad. :) I think this is a great way for me to be more skilled in taking pictures and writing creatively - something about hitting two birds with one stone, don't you think?
Challenge accepted! I hope my creative juices won't let me down! Let the fun begin!
XOXO

Burberry Prorsum:
Alexander McQueen:
So there you go! Those are my top fave designs for the Pre-Fall season. One tiny disappointment though, although I absolutely love Chanel, I'm not very ecstatic about their Pre-Fall looks since their concept was Indian-ish, and I felt it was a bit costume-y in a way. But I love their designs though, the embellishments and the kind of fabric used were excellent; I just wouldn't wear them if I were given the chance to, that's why I didn't include them. :)
But kudos to Gucci, for coveting the top spot on the most likable designs (in my opinion) for this coming season. I love the girly silhouettes, especially the maxi dress above - TO DIE FOR! Haha. But of course, I am in-love with all of these looks that I wish I could wear ALL of them. Not to mention the white ensemble by Donna Karan - that elegance from the color and the cut is just AMAZING.
I'm hoping that one day, I get to see these designers in action in the front row of their fashion shows whether in Paris, Milan, or NYC. ^^.

Upcoming Trends for 2012's Spring
Vogue, in their January issue, has named 10 top staples that should let you fall in step with what is hot right now. Here are my top choices:
1. Statement Shades
These sunnies became very in-demand since autumn of last year but still continues to rock the runways, get featured in magazines and blogs, and worn by celebrities! This is a must-have accessory to instantly flaunt your outfit or, glam up a rather simple get-up for the day. Retro-inspired, anything goes with these shades; I'm sure you won't go wrong with these. :)
2. 1920's Inspired
These are designs by Ralph Lauren in his 2012 Spring Fashion Show in NYC last September 2011. I love the silhouettes; the shimmer and the soft color palette he chose truly reflects an elegance for springtime.
Feathered dresses are also reminiscent of the 1920s; this one is by Oscar de la Renta.
A flapper girl dress by Marchesa; very 1920s! I could dance the night away in this dress!
Tory Burch's shimmery, sequined twenties-inspired dress.
By the way, my favorite trends coming from this era are the vintage head accessories which for me are just so classy and timeless. That is why Coco Chanel tops my list of the most influential women ever to exist. ^.^
3. Polished Leather
I would love to wear this in shorts a la Serena van der Woodsen! The texture could make any outfit fashion-forward and fierce because of the androgynous feel of it.
Need I say more? Just be careful of accessorizing your outfit - less is more for this type of look. :)
4. Head-to-Toe Prints
Peter Som's evening wear.
Jason Wu's casual but classy floral romper. My favorite!
An H-to-T design by J. Crew. All these were featured in NYC's Fashion Week for Spring 2012. Have you noticed most of them are in blue? Vibrant floral patterns are going to be in this Spring, so don't be afraid to show your lively hues.
5. Geometric Patterns
Derek Lam's preference of earthy tones for patterns.
Donna Karan's style of mixing shapes to accentuate a woman's body in this design is superb. I love the urban feel and the earth tones this has.
Amzing color-blocked t-shirt dress by Tribune Standard.
By far, my favorite among tribal/African-ish designs by Zero Maria Cornejo. This look is ultra chic as it mixes dots and stripes.
So, these are my faves so far! Are you guys excited for Spring? XOXO :)

what I have been up to!
*these pics were taken in Panglao, Bohol during one of our family vacations*
*this is me and my bestie, wyn; i just love blair and serena...they remind me of our friendship! Fierce and beautiful!*
*these pics were taken in Tambuli Resort during Billie's birthday. I bought the dress at Moalboal during my previous work's quarterly company outing. The underwear pics were taken in Catmon from family vacation!*
So! these are my collages - what I have been up to for the last couple of days. I made these through picasa... I don't know, I just really like piecing pictures together. I also like doing a video montage; all these feel like I am imparting something from me that is vulnerable and unique. I feel though that by uploading these to facebook, that I might be making myself more vulnerable to other people's judgment or prejudice on me. But, who cares, right? Even if they do or do not check it out, I don't care anymore because this is me - this is what I like to do. So deal with it. If they think I'm a bit vain, then I would just laugh and say, "I'm a girl; who is single. I think I deserve a break." HAHA. Or, as 'A' in 'Prettly Little Liars' simply put it: Nosey Bitches Die. Booyah! :)

trying to be productive!
OK. So, I got this weekly plan of what are the topics I need to study. For what, you may ask? Well, I actually decided to sacrifice being an independent, employed woman in exchange for the luxury to spend more time to study for my comprehensive exam, a qualifying test so I can proceed to doing (and eventually, defending) my thesis. Yes, I am a masters student, enrolled in CNU's MSN program specializing in Med-Surg, which is not really something to be unfocused about. The whole subject is so broad that I almost feel overwhelmed of how I could manage to fit almost everything in my head! I mean, in every disease up to how it happens and how it is treated all contributes to an impending panic attack (that I can overcome in time). I really need to be motivated; my eyes are glued on the TV or on my laptop. It seems that distractions are more important than actually studying! I guess that is why they call it 'distractions'! I really, really, really need to study. Seriously.
So I browsed online on tips on how to study effectively; unfortunately, I already know most of those "healthy study practices". It is just ridiculous how my mind cannot wrap around the fact that I really need to concentrate; if I can just make time stop for me, I can totally control this overwhelming feeling! Who wouldn't want that extraordinary ability, right? I was watching 'No Ordinary Family' and I just envy their powers! I would like to have the boy's superhuman intelligence ability - that would certainly make everything effortless; or, I could do away with their mum's speed power so I can breeze through my notes! Or, I could have that girl's ability to read other people's thoughts, so I could copy off the answers! Wouldn't that be grand??? HAHA. Sadly, I don't have access to those, nor do I have the time to be exposed in nuclear radiation and evolve into a mutant.
Oh, well. It is another week, and I am just gonna change my plan...hopefully it works. *crossed fingers* God help me!
